Ike, aka Sonic Union, from Sweden has been a DJ and producer for over 14 ye ars. His professional DJ career has offered him the privilege of traveling and playing in some of the top clubs and festivals in Europe, North America and Asia. These have included: Pacha (London), Club 404 and Sun Dance Music Festival with its 30.000 visitors. Between 2004 and 2006, Ike was resident DJ at one of Canada's most prestigious after hours clubs, "Gorg-O-Mish". This world class club allowed him to stretch his creativity, and really hone on his skills as a DJ, with sets that usually spanned over 7 hours in length! Ike's productions and mixes have also been aired on radio stations all over the world encompassing Proton Radio, XM/Sirius Radio, Sub7, Progressive Nueva and Eccentricbeats. In addition to his international radio presence, he had also hosted his own radio show in Sweden between 2003 and 2004. He now hosts "Lowbit", a monthly 2 hour radio show on Proton Radio together with music partner Daniel Sandberg, aka Bastards of Funk. Ike's podcast has also gained momentum with several thousand new subscribers in just a couple of months. On the production side, Sonic Union together with his music partner Bastards of Funk, have released music on several world renowned labels such as Aurium Recordings, Commonwealth Recordings, Powerplant and Uno Recordings just to name a few; and have been featured on compilations such as Global Underground, Ministry of Sound and Now Hear This. Sonic Union and Bastards of Funk's music have received great support and has been played by world famous DJ's such as Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Hernan Cattaneo, Anthony Papa, Satoshie Tomiie, Sister Bliss (of Faithless fame), Jim Rivers and Thomas Penton. Their success can also be seen on music sites such as Beatport, DJDownload, Juno Records and TrackItDown as all their releases hit the top sales and DJ charts. Sonic Union and Bastards of Funk have also remixed top talent like Andy Caldwell, Onionz, Benz & MD, Joel Armstrong, Steve Mill and many more, with requests for remix work from the duo continually increasing. In 2008, the duo formed their own record label, Lowbit Records, with the first release causing quite a stir in the dance music community. Lowbit gained support from major DJ's and was picked as one of the top 10 tracks for Summer 2008. Several high profile artists such as Thomas Penton, Chris Micali, Benz & MD, Onionz and Cid Inc. have also been signed to the label.
